Here’s the honest truth: You can get a pretty good looking video if you just rip the DVD without deinterlacing or detelecine via Handbrake (use the H.264 Production Max preset) and then upscale it. Nana Visitor’s reaction to the DVD source quality… or a very lucky pause on my part.
